With his vast knowledge of music production and music technology Mr. Brown has work with various recording artists such as Boyz II Men, Cee Knowledge of Digable Planets, Chubby Checker, Roy Ayers, Omillio Sparks (Jay-Z Roc A Fella), Mystikal and Gerald Levert, just to name a few. He has had top ten singles on Billboard charts as well as European charts. Moreover, he was awarded the Quincy Jones “Vibe Magazine” best new songwriter award in the 1998s which lead him to landing a recording contract in London, England with Defender Records, EMI. Mr. Brown’s expertise in film and video direction provided him with the opportunity to produce with Success By Choice, Inc., an educational consulting firm, who together with Justice Productions has collaborated to create films for their growing South African Market.
He has directed a film/documentary entitled “Young Lives on the Edge” for the Urban League of the Central Carolinas. This film featured appearances by Susan L. Taylor of Essence Magazine, Rev. Al Sharpton, Lamar Rucker and Omar Tyree. Mr. Brown’s television experience has flourished over the years, composing for HBO Productions and creating audio spots for ESPN. His production portfolio includes Pepsi/Mountain Dew, Johnson & Johnson, Levi’s Jeans, Graff Pay-Per-View, the Spice Network, K-tel, and The Source Magazine. As a composer, he has created music for the Twentieth Century Fox movie The Transporter and Parking Wars, an A&E production.
Mr. Brown made his theatre directorial debut in 2005 with the hit multi-media stage play Real Men Talking (www.realmentalking.com) featuring Dr. Cornel West, Common, Chuck D and Cedric the Entertainer. Mr. Brown is currently in production and ready to introduce the world to his new animated creation, HOT ROC KIDZ.
